About Lynn Hartz

Lynn R. Hartz has a doctorate in psychotherapy with an emphasis on women and Appalachian culture with a secondary area in theology and religion. After two decades of work in the mental health field, an accident caused her to change her career focus to writing. She writes memoirs, non-fiction, novels and poetry. Her three books are And Time Stood Still, the story of the midwife who delivered the Christ child, Club Fed: Living Inside a Women's Prison, and Praise Him in Prison. Her fourth, a novel, Discoveries of Eve's Daughters, a story about a world with no men in it, will be released in the spring. She also focuses as an advocate for the incarcerated and women's issues.
